Inscription
Possessed of a strong and discriminating mind, and
unusual energy of character, & warmly attached
to the great doctrines of the Gospl as held by the
New England Fathers, he was laborious & success-
ful in winning souls, & in defending the faith once
delivered to the saints. His family & friends, who
who loved him for his kind, cheerful & ??
spirit in private life, as much as the Church hon-
ored him for his public labors, have erected this
MONUMENT to his MEMORY.
