He died in 1852, after which Nancy was married second in Madison, GA on 3 June 1856 to John Crawford Wood. The couple lived on John's plantation about eight miles from the Morgan County courthouse in Madison, and this is where they both died and were buried. Nancy had no children from either marriage.
