Casket bearers were Kenneth DeWaard, Art Senne, James Brauhn, Eddie Attig, Leroy Senne and Russell Buss. Burial was in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Clarence Howard Attig, the son of George and Anna (Staffaucher) Attig was born January 9, 1912 on a farm near Lu Verne. He attended the rural schools near Lu Verne. At the age of sixteen, he moved north of Wesley with his family. On
February 20, 1935, he married Anna Senne at Immanuel Lutheran Church. They farmed south of Titonka for one year, and then in the Woden area, until they retired in 1976. Clarence did custom grain hauling for five years after his retirement. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Attig of Woden; his daughter, Mrs. Lester (Joyce) Goranson of Forest City; two granddaughters, Catherine Goranson and Roberta Goranson; a sister, Mrs. Leo (Gertrude) Richter of Titonka and two brothers, Everett and Eldon Attig, both of Titonka. He was preceded in death by his infant grandson, Terry Goranson, in 19162; his parents and his brother Melvin Attig.
