Mr. Roy died Monday night in the Delta Haven Nursing Home here after a long illness.
A native of Wilkerson [sic Wilkinson] County, Miss., Mr. Roy had resided in Madison Parish for over 50 years. Before his retirement he was employed by the Louisiana Department of Highways. He was also a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Lois Murphy of Tallulah; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Nettles of Natchez, Miss.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charles Allen, Herbert Beard, Leroy Chambless, William Keller, Henry Hutto and Rosell Sanders.
