29 Dec 1954: Adam J. Allwein, East Reinoehlsville, died of complications yesterday afternoon at 4:30 after a week's illness. Allwein, an retired painter, was 79 years old. Surviving are the following children: sons, George of Reading; Raymond of East Reinoehlsville; Leo of Lebanon; James Edmund of Lebanon; daughters, Marian, wife of Levi Sonnen of Lebanon; Alice, wife of Harry Sheffy of Lititz; & Helen at home. 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, & a brother, Christ of Allwein of Lebanon, also survive. Funeral Home, 126 South 9th Street. The Rev. E.J. Rutman officiated. Burial was made in Goshert's Cemetery [sic], Mt. Zion. Grandsons of the deceased served as pallberers.
