SHELBURNE, VT. - Mark Francis Gervia, passed away on April 8th 2011 at his home in Orlando, Florida.

Mark was born on October 18th 1938 in Shelburne, Vt., the son of Henry Anthony and Margaret Thelma (Thomas) Gervia.

He owned and operated his own construction business for most of his life.

Mark joined the Knights of Columbus in 1991, and progressed through the office's chairs and became the Grand Knight of Council 6624 in 1997-1998. Mark held this worthy position for three years.

In 2000, he was elected as the Faithful Navigator of the Father William J. Holmes Assembly 1951, which he held for two years.

In 2002, he was installed as a District Deputy for the Florida State Council, a position that he held for four years.

Mark currently held the positions of Florida State Youth Director and Director for the Alter Server of the Year.

In addition to state appointments, Mark was active in his local council as a first year Trustee for Council 6624.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Thelma; sister, Glenna Fairbanks; brother, Gene; nephew, Kevin Wooster; and niece, Sherylee Sarandis.
