Virginia Austin Bender (1941-2006), age 65 years, of Ocean Springs, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2006 in Biloxi, Mississippi. She had married Arthur Bender in Harrison County, Mississippi on November 30, 1963.[Harrison Co., Mississippi Circuit Court MRB 125, p. 565]
Virginia graduated from Biloxi High School and Mississippi University for Women, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She worked for Estabrook Ford in Pascagoula for 15 years.
Mrs. Bender was preceded in death by her parents, Alney Wallace Austin and Virginia Boone Austin; and daughter, Jennifer Bender. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Bender Larson of Ocean Springs; sisters, M'Lou Austin Rossie, and her husband, Paul Bender of Oviedo, Florida, Susan Austin of Canton, Mississippi, and Wallace Ann Austin of Biloxi; and grandchildren, Jeffry Larson, Christopher Larson, and Alex Weaver. She will also be missed by other family members, friends, and co-workers.
Friends may visit between 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church of Biloxi. Service will follow at the church at 10:00 a.m. A gathering for family and friends will follow the service at the church. Arrangements by Riemann Memorial Funeral Home in Biloxi.
