Mrs. Orleva I. McLaughlin of Fairbury, Neb., died in a local hospital Monday, Nov. 11, 1963, at the age of 86 years.
The youngest of the 10 children of Abraham and Marie Blauser, early pioneers of Jefferson county, she was born Nov. 27, 1878 at Diller, Neb. She was the last of her family.
On March 23, 1898 at Diller, Neb., she was married to Rev. Duncon (sic) B. McLaughlin and to them one daughter was born.
Surviving are her daughter, Lois, Mrs. E. M. Crocker of Diller, Neb., three grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Thursday in the Nuckolls-Meyer chapel with Rev. James L. Green, pastor, of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Mrs. Lloyd Scarrow was soloist and Mrs. Frank Hall was organist. Pallbearers were Fred Preston, sr, Harold Schenk, Harold Acker, George Junker and Cecil Hendrickson. Burial was in the Fairbury cemetery.
