Amy Rovilla Weaver was born Nov. 10, 1919 in Bluehill, Neb. to Andrew and Nettie (Coleman) Weaver. She joined 1 brother and 3 sisters. In the spring of 1920 the family returned to their homestead in Weston county Wyoming. In 1927 the family moved to Newcastle where she attend school and graduated with the Class of 1939.

In 1935 she met Kenneth Thompson and they were married Feb. 28, 1940. They lived on the limestone in South Dakota until Kenneth built a house in Newcastle where they raised their family. To this union were born Jan. 19, 1942 Loren Ashton, in 1943 Donald Leslie (who died in infancy), and on May 23 1945 Lavonne Marie.

She was active in the First United Methodist church, the Pythian sisters lodge and served as grand chief of wyo., and the Michaels senior center. She and Kenneth were youth Leaders for myf.

Many nieces and nephews lived in their home. She also babysat several who called her "auntie grandma". In 1999 they moved to Mondell heights. Kenneth passed away in Oct. 1999 and she continued to live at Mondell until moving to the Weston County manor in June 2007.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Donald, husband Kenneth, brother Ashton Weaver, sisters Laverna Dickey, and Lorena Borgialli. She is survived by a sister Grace Hayes of Arizona, son and wife Loren & Lois Ann Thompson Carlsbad, NM, daughter and husband Lavonne and Harry Roberts Newcastle. Grandchildren Leslee and Sam Miller Arizona, Lane & Shannon Thompson, Sheridan, Laurel & Chris Waggoner Florida, rob & Peggy Roberts rapid city, Ann & Art Cottrell Newcastle. Six grandchildren and 3 great Grandchildren, and many nieces nephews and friends.
