"Zeffie D. Doss, 87, of Ozark, died Monday, February 5, 1996 in an Ozark hospital.
She was a retired grocery and gas merchant and a member of First Baptist Church in Ozark.
She was the widow of Samuel Doss.
She is survived by two daughters, Edna Ross of Altus and Carol Cordell of Ozark; two sons, Robert of Lake Charles, La., and Dean of Ozark.
Funeral services were held in First Baptist Church of Ozark with burial at Belt Cemetery."
∼Zeffie D. Doss, 87, of HC 61, Ozark, the widow of Samuel Henry Doss, died Monday, Feb. 5, 1996, at Mercy/Turner Memorial. Born Sep. 2, 1908, in Ozark,(Watalula) she was the daughter of William and Margaret J. Qualls Cagle. She was retired store and station owner and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ozark. Survivors include two daughters, Edna Doss Ross of Altus and Carol Cordell of Ozark; two sons Robert of Lake Charles, La.; and Dean Doss of Ozark; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was proceded in death by one son, Gordon, and two daughters, Darlene and Lorene Doss. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Ted Darling officiating. Burial will be at the Belt Cemetery, near Ozark, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Fred, Richard and James Doss, Ed Cagle and Ralph and Artemus McKinney. Honorary pallbearers will be Eunice Harris, Lillian Troiz, Margaret Fisher and Catherine Thomas. The family will visit with friends from 7 to 9 p.m Wednesday (this evening) at the funeral home.
