LAMBERTSON, Donald E. 90, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 28, 2013. Born in Maries County, MO, to Rev. Roy and Mary Lambertson on March 13, 1923. He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather as well as a true support and right hand in his role as a Ministers spouse. He always gave his total support to God and the ministry of his wife, Rev. Norma Lambertson, pastor of Faith Tabernacle of South Tampa. Donald has been an active member of Faith Tabernacle for more than 50 years serving as a Sr. Board member & Sunday School teacher. For several years he played the bass guitar both in church and in a southern gospel group traveling in music ministry. He retired in 1985 after 40 years with Tampa Electric Co., where he was the supervisor of the Trouble Dept. Donald proudly served in the US Marine Corp. during World War II in active combat. He is survived by wife, Rev. Norma Lambertson; 2 sons; and 4 daughters; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; many nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held Saturday evening, Aug. 31st, from 5-7 pm, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 605 So. MacDill Ave., Tampa, FL 33609. Family will receive friends 2-3 pm, Sunday afternoon, Sept. 1st, at the Faith Tabernacle of South Tampa, 6015 Interbay Blvd., Tampa, FL 33611, Celebration of Life service beginning at 3 pm, Sunday. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. There will be a reception at the church following interment.
