Lawrence Lyne, 62, passed away July 4, 1962 at his home in Muscotah, Ks., after an extended illness. He was born November 3, 1899, at Oak Hill, Ks., a son of Benjamin and Lanie Lyne, and was married April 28, 1921 to the former Letha Shivers at Hollis. They moved to Muscotah 13 years ago.

Surviving are his wife Letha, of the home, a daughter, Mrs. Kleora Dunlap, Wakefield, Ks., two sons, Sgt. Francis Lyne, Fort Leavenworh, and Raymond Lyne, Marion, In. He also leaves two brothers, George Lyne, Oak Hill, Neal Lyne, Miltonvale, three sisters, Mrs. Ida Conant, Summer, Wash., Mrs. Kate Alquist, Clay Center, and Mrs. Martha McNeil, Miltonvale, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Muscotah Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Muscotah Cemetery with Chaney Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
