Elsie died at the Gosport Nursing Home on Thursday. She was a former resident of Bedford. Elsie was the daughter of Noble and Viola Smith Adamson. Elsie was a retired employee of RCA and a member of Central Church of Christ in Bedford.
Survivors include a son, William of Greenwood; a daughter Phyllis Hovious; a brother Robert, a sister Annabelle Spinks, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar in 1983, a daughter, Jane Elmore in 1974 and four brothers, Roy, Paul, Oral and an infant brother.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Day and Carter Mortuary with Brother Pat Arthur officiating. Friends may call 4-9 Tuesday at the funeral home.
