Jacksonville, Vt., Native Succumbs

AT GREENFIELD

Resident of Greenfield for Past 32 Years, Was Prominent in Fraternal Organizations.

Mrs. Lela E. Dix, 69, a native of Jacksonville, Vt., died last night at her home at 177 Conway street, Greenfield, following a long illness. She was the daughter of Elisha and Gracia Corkins and had been a resident of Greenfield for the past 32 years.

Mrs. Dix was a member of Sylvan lodge of Rebekahs, the Greenfield Garden club, the Greenfield Woman's club and All Souls Unitarian church. She leaves her husband, Truman A. Dix, two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Fisher of Allendale, N. J., and Mrs. James Whelpley of Cincinnati, O., two sisters, Mrs. Austin Plumb and Mrs. Phoebe Stafford, both of Springfield and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Friday from the A. F. Hodgen Funeral Home with Rev. Robert J. Raible of All Souls Unitarian church officiating. Burial will be in Green River cemetery.
