Frank N. Seigel
Frank K. Seigel, 85, of Alexandria, R. D., passed away Monday, February 22, 1954, at 6:25 p. m. in the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon. He had been ill for two weeks.
He was born March 30, 1868, in McAlevys Fort, a son of Frederick and Mary (Wilson) Seigel. He was united in marriage to Alice Houtz February 26, 1890. She preceded him in death March 3, 1945.
Seigol was a member of the Alexandria Presbyterian Church and taught the Men's Bible Class of the Sunday School for many years. He served on the Morris and Porter Township school boards for many years. He came to Alexandria in 1895, and had lived in that vicinity since that time. At the time of his death, he was residing with his son-in-law, Clalr Harnish.
The following children survive: Mrs. Albert (Laura) Moulton of Beverly, Massachusetts; Miss Ruth Seigel of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Mrs. David (Esther) Swigart of Newark, Ohio. A daughter, Mrs. Elsie J. Harnish, preceded him in death. One brother, the Rev. A. J. Seigcl of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, four grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday. February 25, at 10 a. m. in the Grove funeral liome at Alexandria. The Rev. Kenneth L. Duncan, pastor of the Alexandria Presbyterian Church, will officiate and burial will be made in the Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p. m. on Wednesday until the hour of services.
