DODGE CITY,KS----John H. Stickney,81 died Feb.3,1990 at St. Francis Regional Medical Center,Wichita,KS.

He was born Dec.28,1908 in Barton county, the son of Halsey Benjamin and Julia Sullivan Stickney. He was a graduate of Hoisington High School. A resident of Dodge City sine 1939, moving from Barton County, he was a retired businessman.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Elks Lodge all of Dodge City,Ks.

On Jan.31,1942 he married Betty G. West at Dodge City,KS. She survives.

Other survivors are three sons, Tom and William,both of Great Bend,Ks, Robert of Dodge City,KS; three daughters, Jayne Hansen of Dodge City,KS, Susan Stickney of Kansas City,Mo, Kathy Linnerman of Emporia,KS; two brothers, Harold of Garden City,KS and Arthur of Tustin,Calif; two sisters, Mary Strand of New Richmond,Wisconsin ,Lucille Oliver of Blacksburg,Va and 9 grandchildren.

Funeral Mass at the church followed by military graveside rites.
