Ronnie P. Adams, 71, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Asa and Rosa Adams, wife, Ethel Adams; and brother, Bobby Adams. Ronnie is survived by son, Rusty Adams; daughter, Debi Pope; Son-in-law, Russell Pope; Daughter-in-law, Patti Adams; grandchildren, Jaime Cole, Rusty Pope and Celeste Adams; great granddaughter, Mabree Cole; and a host of other family and friends.
Ronnie grew up in Florida and came to Houston in the early 1960's. He met and married Ethel and they spent 43 wonderful years together. Ronnie was truly devoted to Ethel and even those that had never met her knew all about her through the stories Ronnie shared with everyone. He loved playing golf and enjoyed a good Black Jack or Texas Hold ‘Em game. One of Ronnie's greatest joys was being a grandfather and great grandfather. He was affectionately known as PaPa to all of his grandchildren and he was extremely proud of all of their accomplishments. They were his "Legacy." Ronnie will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation for Ronnie will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating. Interment will follow with a 1:00 pm graveside service at Fields Store Cemetery in Fields Store, Texas.
