Cliff was the first disc jockey to broadcast "Country & Western" music on Akron, Ohio radio. He was a disc jockey for radio stations WCBS in Springfield, Ill., WHKK in Akron, Ohio and WTAX in Springfield, Ill. Cliff served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Cliff was my 1/2 uncle. His mother was Etta Bryant, but I have no other information on her at this time. His 1/2 sister, my mother, Carola May (Rogers) Carr, is buried at Greenlawn too. Sometime after Roy Walter Rodgers married his second wife, Katie May (Hancock) Rogers, they dropped the (d) in Rogers. Cliff's grandparents were Joseph Lee Rodgers and Mattie Belle (Booker) Rodgers. Cliff still has a 1/2 brother that is living in Stow.
