Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19, at the Murray Cemetery for Jack Hargrove, who died at 4 p.m. Thursday, January 17, at the home of his niece, Mrs. J.A. Carter, in Thrall after an illness of two weeks. Rev. O.J. Morgan, pastor of the Baptist Church in Lexington, officiated at the services. Condra Funeral Home of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements. A native of Tracy, Mr. Hargrove was born on March 9, 1873. He had lived 29 years prior to his death with Mrs. Carter and was the brother of the late Mrs. Will Caldwell of Cameron, who died in 1943. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers for the funeral services were James B. Carter, Duynell Hargrove, John Hargrove, B.C. Caldwell, Cliff Langston and Ray Jones. The Cameron Herald, January 24, 1957
