ZANESVILLE - Marjorie W. Butler Ansel (Moore), 89, of Zanesville passed away at 3:00 am on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House. Marjorie was born September 29, 1919 in Wyoming to the late Emmett Roberts and Ella Snouff Roberts Mitchell.
She retired from Essix Wire on Linden Avenue in 1981 and attended the Philo United Methodist Church.
Marjorie is survived by her children, Dallas (Pam) Butler of Lewistown, Stephen (Bonnie) Butler of Zanesville, Mona (Tom) Roberts of Zanesville, and Shirley (Bob) Belcher of York, SC; a sister in law, Joann Roberts of Marrietta; 20 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren; and many special nieces and nephews.
Marjorie loved being with her children and grandchildren and took care of all of them. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed trips to Wheeling WV.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, William Dallas Butler and Earl Ansel; her daughter, Patricia Ann Stott; four grandchildren; and her siblings, Emett (Curley) Roberts, Irene Jones, Alice Morris, Mary Garcia, Ray (Sonny) Roberts and Dorothy Roberts.
The funeral will be at 11 Tuesday at the Thomspon Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls with the Rev. Alice Baldwin officiating and burial will follow in Adamsville Baptist Cemetery in Adamsville.
