He married Helen Simmers in 1889. She was the daughter of Mr. Simmers and Elizabeth. She was born Feb. 1872 in Pennsylvania. He was a rotary machine handler from the 1900 census and lived at 932 Bridge St. Children Include: Earl J. Benninghove (b. May 1890), Clarence S. Benninghove (May 1893 - July 1970, North Wales), and Eddie S. Benninghove (b. Oct. 1895 in Phoenixville, Pa). Eddie is believed to have had a son Edward Benninghove (Nov. 26, 1913 - Jan. 1969). Edward had a son named Edward (Dec. 22, 1937 - Oct. 10, 1989, Yocumtown, York Co., Pa.

Benninghove, 40, 233 South Fifteenth street, brakeman for the Reading Company was injured early this morning in the Rutherford Yards when a bralje wheel revolved knocking him to the ground. He suffered an injury to his left leg, and was taken to the Harrisburg Hospital.

Hill Brakeman Hurt In a fall as he stepped from a freight car in Rutherford Yards Earl J. Benninghove, 52, 1217 Bailey street, Reading Company brakeman, suffered a dislocated left shoulder, the Harrisburg Hos pital reported.
