She lived in Wahkiakum County most all her life, and worked as a cook at Columbia View Nursing Home in the 1970s, at Phil's Highway Mart for several years, and at the Duck Inn Restaurant. For the past several years she was manager of the Indian Village Mobile Home Park un Cathlamet.
Surviving are two sons, David Almer of Longview and Dwaine Almer of Skamokawa; a daughter, Debbie Melton of Cathlamet; two sisters, Mary Haase and Jeannie Adams of Cathlamet; her mother, Maurine Clark of Cathlamet; her companion, Jerry Hein of Cathlamet; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Deceased are two grandsons, Ryan and John Melton.
Services will be at 2 pm Wednesday at Dowling Chapel, Cathlamet.
