Carol E. Wright Adams Haas, age 73, died Monday, August 22, 2005 at Edinboro Manor where she had resided for the past year. She lived most of her life in Waterford and worked for many years as a waitress at the Log Cabin Restaurant. Known for her fun personality and her musical talent, she was often entertaining family, friends, and especially children at social gatherings. She was a pianist and singer and made many appearances singing with her late sister, Shirley Wright Harrison, who auditioned with her for the Ted Mack Show. Born in Erie on January 3, 1932, she was a daughter of the late David Wright and Leah Engels Wright Walden. In addition to her parents and sister, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Haas; her step-father, Howard Walden; her son, Robert Adams, and grandson, James Adams. Survivors include her former husband, Robert Adams of Erie, two sons, William Adams and his wife, Oki, of Erie, and Joseph Adams of Kentucky; a daughter-in-law, Marty of Titusville; two sisters, Linda Fannin and David of Hungary, and Leah Jingleski and Adam, of Waterford; a brother, James Walden of Nevada; and 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 105 Walnut Street, Waterford, PA on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and may attend the funeral service there on Thursday at 11:00am.
