fMOCKSVILLE - Elnora B. Luper (Nora), of Jericho Church Road, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem after several years of declining health. She was born Sept. 16, 1928, to the late A. Lee and Jessie Lee Bowles in Mocks-ville. She was a member of Jericho Church of Christ and a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin J Luper; her parents; two brothers, Alvin L. Bowles and John C. Bowles, Sr. (Jack); and a sister, Roberta Bowles. Surviving are two sons, Stephen and Lindsay Luper; a brother, Worth Bowles; two sisters, Alice B. Dolman and Vera B. Scobey (Ed); four nieces, Carolyn S. Morris (Dick), Pamela Dolman, Sara B. Wall and Donna L. Bowles; three nephews, John C. Bowles, Jr., Michael C. Dolman (Rita) and Scott Bowles (Donna). Service: A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20 at Eaton Funeral Chapel with Dr. Tom Torpy officiating. Interment will be in Jericho Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 19 at the funeral home.
