Misc Notes: Captain William Helm served in the Revolutionary War as an officer in the Virginia Continental Line, was beleived to serve under George Rogers Clarke.

Death Notes: William drowned in 1806 while making a trip between Virginia and Kentucky. He was crossing either the Mississippi or the Ohio River. He was thought to be operating a freighting service on the river.

(was Virginia at the time) He was in the Rev. army and decorated for gallantry. He resided in Shelby County Kentucky in the late 1700s and early 1800s. He drowned in the Mississippi River in 1806. His second wife, Agnes Pickett Helm, was d/o Capt. William Pickett of Rev army and wife Lucy Blackwell Green, widow of Moses Green. Agnes Pickett Helm and two children of first wife, Elizabeth & Thomas Helm, returned to Virginia to her father's house after death of her husband .
