Adam Wirtz, 28 of West Bend died suddenly Thursday, August 22, 2013 due to injuries resulting from a farm accident north of West Bend. Services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 10:00 AM at the Apostolic Christian Church, West Bend with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 3-8 PM Monday at the Apostolic Fellowship Center, West Bend. Harris Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Adam Charles Wirtz, the son of James and Joan Bruellman Wirtz, was born July 30, 1985 in Emmetsburg IA. He was raised and received his education in West Bend, graduating from the West Bend-Mallard High School in 2004. Adam loved farming and anything to do with agriculture. He enjoyed working and helping his neighbors and friends in the area, and had a special love for his nieces and nephew.
Adam is survived by his parents, James and Joan Wirtz of West Bend IA; sisters Amy (Mike) Van Wyhe of West Bend IA and Bethany (Matt) Kirk of Mankato MN; his brother Derek (Allie) Wirtz of West Bend IA; and grandmothers Verda (Mrs. Don) Bruellman of West Bend and Betty (Mrs. Verner) Wirtz of West Bend, as well as his very special friend, Lisa Nelson of Algona IA.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Don Bruellman and grandparents Verner and Beverly Wirtz.
