Born in Pine Creek Township; he was a native of Emerickville. His parents, David & Eleanor Dinger, were pioneer settlers of Emerickville.
He passed away at his home on Chambers Street in Blairton[sic?], near Vandergrift, Pennsylvania.
Paddy was a nickname he received many years ago from his fellow lumberman along the Little Toby in Elk County. He was a jolly likable fellow and had a host of friends in Reynoldsville who always welcomed his frequent visits to that place.
He was survived by his widow, Clara R. Dinger.
Two children:
~ Mrs. C.E. Schuckers, of Gary, Indiana;
~ Mrs. F.O. Deemer, of Apollo, R.D.;
These siblings also survived:
~ Mrs. Charles Martz, of Brookville;
~ Mrs. Mary Fike, of Knoxdale;
~ Mrs. Minnie Himes, of Anita;
~ C.M. Dinger, of Reynoldsville;

Funeral services were held in the home with Rev. R.H. Little, pastor of the Vandergrift Methodist Church in charge, assisted by Rev. James H. Jelbert of Meadville, a family friend.
