Joanne Christianson was born on Feb. 1, 1923, in Sigourney, Iowa, to Edward and Blanche Blattner.
She left this present world on Aug. 18, 2013.
She was a graduate of Iowa State University, studying child development. She spent much of her life in California as a teacher in Los Angeles Unified Schools. Since moving to Prescott, Ariz., in 1993, she has been involved with many Christian women organizations.
She is survived by her sister Bonnie Baccus of Prescott; nephews Todd Miller of Prescott and Randy (Diane) Miller of Austin, Texas; niece Becky (Scott) Kaluahine of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and great-niece and namesake Bonnie Joanne Miller of Bakersfield, Calif.
A private family service took place at Mountain View Cemetery in Prescott.
Services entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary.
