Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Nan Dora Kemp, age 88, of Swainsboro, GA on Sunday, March 15, 2009, at the Heritage Healthcare Center after an extended illness. Funeral services are Wednesday, March 18th, at 3 PM in the Hawhammock Baptist Church with Rev. Louis Pearce, Rev. Arthur Conley and Rev. Cail Pressey officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Drone Hudson, Jamie Moxley, Wyatt Youngblood, Tim Hendley, Ronald Boatright and Andy Boatright. Mrs. Kemp will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 6 - 8 PM.

Mrs. Kemp was a native of Emanuel County, sat with the elderly and was a member of the Hawhammock Baptist Church and the Fifty Uppers Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Kemp and her parents, Math and Essie Coleman Boatright.
Survivors include, one daughter and son-In-law, Leta and Melvin Hadden of Swainsboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Algie and Margie Boatright and John Edward and Carolyn Boatright of Swainsboro; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 gtep-great-grandchild, 10 great-great-grandchildren and 1 step-great-great-grandchild.
