Nell Alexander Peters, 93, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, in Quitman, Texas. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 beginning at 1 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., August 24, 2013, in Myrtle Cemetery.

Nell was born in Ensign, Texas, to the late William Walter and Nellie (Roberts) Alexander. She grew up in Ellis County and graduated from Bardwell High School. She went on to receive a degree in business from the Droughans Business College. On April 28, 1942, she married Wilson G. Peters and they made their home originally in Dallas after Wilson returned from serving in World War II, then moved to DeSoto in 1969 where she resided until retiring in 2005 and moving to Quitman, Texas.

She began working in the family business in 1979 after her husband's death and worked as co-owner of the Texas Auto Radiator until her retirement in 2005. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Quitman and a former member of the Eastern Star Chapter #951. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilson G. Peters; a granddaughter; a grandson; and brothers, W.C. Alexander and J.L. Alexander.

She is survived by her son, Wilson G. Peters, II and his wife, Vicki; daughter, Lanell Brummett and her husband, Willis; four granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. I13
