Brian A. Bond, 70, of Kempton, PA passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown, PA. He was the husband of Riemke J. (Tigchelaar) Bond. They celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary this past April. He was born in Lynn Twsp., PA, a son of Marian E. (Fetherolf) Bond of Kempton, PA, and the late Nevin A. Bond.

Brian was a self-employed farmer in Albany Twsp. for over 50 years. He also was the former owner of the Bond Tax Preparation Service, Kempton, PA, for 50 years, retiring in 2010. He served his country honorably with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Brian was a 1961 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He was a member of the New Bethel Church, Kempton, where he served on the church cemetery board and as a former Deacon. He will be remembered and respected for his honesty and generous advice.

Survivors, beside his wife and mother, includes two daughters, a sister, four brothers, also his four loving grandchildren, and twenty-one nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held on Sat. August 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM in New Bethel Church, 135 New Bethel Church Road, Kempton, PA, 19529, with Rev. David W. Blitch officiating. Calling hours Friday from 6 to 8 PM in the Nester Funeral Home, 8405 Kings Highway (Rt. 143) New Tripoli, PA 18066. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
