LAVERS, Harold Morris - 79, Three Mile Plains, Hants Co., passed away Saturday, July 28, 2007, at home. Born October 20, 1927, in Windsor, he was a son of the late Rupert James and Lydia Blois (Withrow) Lavers. Harold was self-employed for over 50 years in the excavating business and operated Harold M. Lavers & Sons, Bulldozing & Excavating Ltd. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, bowling, playing cards, dancing and old-time country music. In his earlier years he was active in the Three Mile Plains Community Hall Association. Harold is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Phyllis (Anthony) Lavers; children, Hal (Joy), Garland's Crossing; Beth, Windsor; Marianne, Three Mile Plains; Wade (Tina), Three Mile Plains; Wanda (Kevin Lantz), Falmouth; Vicki (Shawn Eldridge), Falmouth; grandchildren, Ryan, Timothy and Traci Lavers, Josh, Lydia and Alex Lavers, Lacey and Justin McCarthy, Kayla and Nicholas Eldridge; sister, Verna Brown, Windsor Elms;
sister-in-law, Ruby Lavers, Ellershouse; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Jean Levy; brothers, Rupert, Clifford, and John in infancy. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lohnes Funeral Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, in Windsor United Church, 613 King St., Windsor, Kelly Burke-King and Rev. James Brown officiating. Interment will take place in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. A reception will be held in the Three Mile Plains Community Hall. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Harold may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, 5161 George St., 7th Floor, Halifax, NS B3J 1M7, Windsor United Church Memorial Fund, P.O.
