Mrs. Mayme Williams, 98, of Grayville, died June 22, 1999, at the Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville.
Graveside services were held at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Grayville.
She was born July 2, 1900, at Cowling, the daughter of Gwin and Annie Hastings Compton. She married to Paul Lawrence Wells, who preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1949. She then married Malcolm Allison Williams, on Oct. 9, 1950 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1968. Mrs. Williams was also preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, seven brothers and one daughter, Mary Wells Clark on March 5, 1975.
Survivng are one granddaughter, Paula Wojasinski of Versalles, Ky.; two great grandchildren Ryan and Shea Gold of Lexington, Ky.; and one sister in law, Eleanor Ridenour of Grayville.
