FRANK LEON JENKINS
Frank Leon Jenkins, 64, a retired inspector for Tri City Coaches, Inc., residing at 205 Chesterfield Ave., Colonial Heights, died this morning at 6 o'clock in his home after two years of declining health.
Jenkins was a native of Prince Edward County, a son of the late Oscar Davidson and Anna Weaver Jenkins, but had resided in Colonial Heights for the past 40 years.
He was a member of the Colonial Heights Baptist Church, a former member of the board of deacons, a member of the board of trustees, a member of Monroe Lodge of Odd Fellows and Powhatan Starke Lodge No. 124 AF&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maebelle T. Jenkins; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa J. Jeffries of Colonial Heights, Mrs. Ethel J. Blankenship of Ettrick and Mrs. Lottie J. Colbert of Chesterfield County; three brothers, Lester J. Jenkins of Amelia County, Winbern W. Jenkins and Bernard H. Jenkins of Rice, Va.
Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Colonial Heights Baptist Church. The Rev. J.C. Meade, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery with Masonic rites by Powhatan Starke Lodge.
The body will be taken from the chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son to the church at 2 p.m.
