He was the grandson of Peter Van Houten and Rachel Lyons VanHouten. He was the son of Peter Elizabeth Worden Van Houter. Their name is sometimes spelled Van Houten (the original spelling) He married Catharine Moore and was the father of McCombs , John, Elizabeth Reichart, Margaret Henry, Sarah Hoover and Mary Van Houten.
My fourth great grandfather.
