Roy Edward Coleman, 76 of White Hall, Arkansas, died Monday, October 4, 2004 at the University Hospital at Little Rock, Arkansas.

He was born April 1, 1920 at Hope Hempstead County, Arkansas, a son of the late LeeRoy Briggs and Betty Rocket Coleman.

He graduated from Idabel, Oklahoma School District on May 20, 1947. He served in the United States Army. He was a retired project engineer with the U. S. Government. He had worked as a construction inspector with Corps of Engineers and was also employed with the Pine Bluff Arsenal.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John and Roy Horn Post 4455. He was a 32-degree Mason and a past member of the Shriners.

He was preceded in death by one son; Steven Edward Coleman, two brothers; Robert Dale Coleman and James Rufus Coleman; one sister Doris Virginia Coleman and his stepmother Lessie Coleman.

Survivors include one son; Roy Douglas Coleman of White Hall and a daughter Kathy Coleman Terry of White Hall, Arkansas, one brother; Donald Earl Coleman of Idabel; three sisters; Laverne Coleman Willis of Kennewick, Washington, Wilma Coleman Gilbert of Idabel and Vivian Coleman Davis of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday , Oct 7, 2004 at Cranford Funeral Home at White Hall, Arkansas with the Rev. David Light Officiating.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m , Wednesday Oct. 6, 2004 at the Funeral Home.

The family will be at the home of Doug Coleman.
