A native of Hazlehurst, Ga., he had resided in Orlando for the past two years, moving there from Hollister, where he had resided for several years. Emory had worked with Lockhart Geological Company in Colorado and years ago had worked at Hudson Pulp & Paper Company. He was a Protestant and, in his spare time, enjoyed collecting guns.
He is survived by a son, Victor Sheppard of Cordele, Ga.; a daughter, Susan Clay; five brothers, William Sheppard of Hollister, Clayton Sheppard of Castleberry, Roy Sheppard of Cocoa, Troy Sheppard of Montgomery, Ala., and Ervin Sheppard of Green Cove Springs; a sister, Linda Hutcheson of Hollister, and three grandchildren.
