August was the son of Julius Albrecht and Ottelyn Kutz. He married Amelia Schwiderski before 1910. They were the parents of Joseph Edward, Gerald, and Paul Ernest.

Jan 16, 1919 - Pomeroy Herald - Death overtook August Albrecht last Tuesday to the great sorrow of his relatives and neighbors. Mr Albrecht was a prominent Twin Lakes township farmer of about thirty years of age and he leaves wife and two young hoys. He was stricken with an attack of influenza several weeks ago. which resulted in a congestion of one lung from the effects of which he died.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs, Julius Albrecht also of Rockwell City and is survived by three brothers and a sister in addition to his wife, formerly Miss Rose Schwiderski and his two sons.

The funeral took place this mornmg from the Catholic church and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery. The entire community has reason to mourn the loss of this splendid business-like farmer. — Rockwell City Republican.
