William L. Allen 76, Indianapolis, died December 24, 2006. William was born on Nov. 26, 1930 to George and Anna Belle (Vaught) Allen. He served in the US Navy in 1952 and 1953 during the Korean War. William worked for Western Electric Company as a Department Chief for 35 years before retiring in 1985. Mr. Allen was a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers, was baptized at the Christian Church in Rockville, Indiana, and was a member of the Fortville Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Darlene; a son William Allen, Jr.; a daughter, Terri Pruyne (husband Rick); granddaughters, Amanda Spearing, Jessica Allen, Jennifer Allen, and Jessica Pruyne; grandson, Eric Pruyne and a sister, Ruth Riley.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Allen and an infant brother, George Allen.
