Joe H. Schwitz passed on August 17th, 2013, at the age of 84.
Born March 24, 1929 in Evansville, Indiana, son of Otto Paul and Zilpah Moody Schwitz

Surviving loved ones include his wife, Melvonia Abell Schwitz ,his daughter, Linda Schwitz Pope (Bill), of Carmel, IN, his son, Steven P. Schwitz, (Cindy), of Evansville.
He also leaves behind five grandchildren, a brother Frank, (Dora) and sister Pauline Buchanan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Randall Lee Schwitz and daughter, Susan Schwitz Zilkowski.

He taught in the Vanderburgh School Corporate for 40 years and a member of the 1948 Central state finals basketball team.

There will be no services or visitations.

In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Point Man Ministries of Evansville.

The Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon is in charge of arrangements.
