HANNIBAL - Earlene Williams, 77, of Hannibal, died at 9:35 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. The Rev. Tim Goodman will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams was born April 28, 1927, in St. Louis to Hugh and Loretta Kendrick Thompson.
She was married to Delford Groves Sr. in 1947, in Hannibal. He preceded her in death Feb. 25, 1973. She later married Orville Williams and he preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1991.
Survivors include her mother, Loretta Coates of Hannibal; one son, Delford E. Groves Jr. of Hannibal; one daughter, Wendy Carothers of Clarence; one brother, J.R. Coates of Canton; five sisters, Marilyn Lucas of New London, Beverly Perry, Carol Coates and Alice Yeager, all of Hannibal, and Betty Heitman of the state of Texas; five grandchildren, Dorian Morrison, Jane Groves, Kelly Groves, Aaron Groves and Joshua Bowles; one great-granddaughter, Brookelyn Morrison; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; and one sister, Sharon Leake.
Mrs. Williams had previously worked at International Shoe Co., Western Publishing and Underwood. Most recently she had retired two years ago from the Foster Grandparent Program at Douglass Community Center. She was Pentecostal by faith.
Memorial contributions may be made to Beth Haven Nursing Home, in care of the funeral home.
