Raymond Bodovsky, Jr. joined his beloved wife of over 52 years, Wanda Ruth, to be with the Lord in Heaven on August 18, 2013. He was a member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch, Texas. He was born on December 21, 1930 in Tioga, Texas to Raymond Benjamin and Dovie Mae Williams Bodovsky. Ray is survived by 1 son, Lyn Bodovsky, and 4 daughters, Janna Schick, Janie Gotcher and husband Gary, Debbie Sharp and husband Robert, and Ginger Gatewood and husband Lonnie, 9 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Robert Bodovsky and John Bodovsky, and two sisters, Dorothy Kelly and Glennis Hogan. Ray spent all of his life in the North Texas area, and served in the US Army from 1947 to 1950 and then in the Active Army Reserves from 1950 to 1953. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in both Korea and Japan. "Bo" had an outgoing and friendly personality--he never met a stranger. And, he was always willing to give a helping hand. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and neighbors. Services will be held at North Dallas Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 10:30 am, with interment at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for you to consider a donation to the National Foundation for Cancer Research, the National Federation of the Blind, or a charity of your choice.
