MOCKSVILLE - Mr. Gerald Grey "Tony" Booe, 74, of Sanford Avenue, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born Aug. 13, 1939, in Davie County to the late Joe and Kathleen Moser Booe.
Mr. Booe was an entrepreneur most of his adult life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Goldie Adams Booe; and two brothers, Bobby Booe and Joey "Scooter" Booe.
Mr. Booe is survived by a daughter, Wendy Booe Rycroft of Mocksville; a son, Tony Booe of Raleigh; mother of his children, Wanda Tise Booe of Mocksville; sister, Judy Booe Howard (Sam) of Advance; a special friend, Brenda Wyatt; two grandchildren, Destiny Rycroft and Sebastian Booe; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, at Eaton Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Greg McEwen officiating. Interment will follow in West lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, at Eaton Funeral Home.
