She was born August 19th, 1923 in Pelly, Texas to Alfred L. and Effie Ruth Young. Most of her life was spent in the Baytown and Highlands area.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard Hillhouse Sr.; son, Jack A Hillhouse; grandson, Kenneth Baker; great grandson, Kevin Kaemerling; son-in-law, Irvin Baker; brother, A.L. Young; and her only sister, Darline Pierce.

Left to mourn her passing are her four daughters, Ethel Martinez of Baytown, Carol Tharp of Highlands, Earline Baker of Baytown, and Mary Young of Highlands; three sons, Leonard Hillhouse Jr. and wife Dorothy of Dayton, Stephen Hillhouse and wife Elizabeth of Baytown, Timothy W. Mother had great generosity of heart. She embraced an extended family of friends so close they were considered family. We want to thank Harbor Hospice for their care and kindness, with special appreciation to Karen Brown, Vanessa Mijares, and Mark Robinson.

Officiating the services will be Pastor Orin Flynn and Bishop William Atchison. Soloist will be Judy Atchison.
