He was born near Myersville, the son of the late Jacob and Mary (Poffenberger) Koogle.
Mr. Koogle had farmed in the Chewsville district for over 70 years, and had retired 7 years ago.
He is survived by: daughters, Miss Edna I Koogle, at home; Mrs. Beulah P Poffenberger, Chewsville; and Mrs. Mark Ridenour, Smithsburg Rt 3; 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Mrs. Oscar Warrenfeltz; nieces and nephews.
Services Wednesday at 2 pm at A K Coffman Funeral Home, the Rev Donald Brake officiating. Burial in Smithsburg Cemetery.
