Thursday, August 15, 2013 the Angels came and took Rita Coleen Stevens "GaGa" home. Rita was born September 25, 1949 in Spring Creek, just north of Gracemont, OK to Henry and Belva (Chastain) Shook. She graduated from Gracemont High School in the class of 1967 and then attended and graduated from Cosmetology School. On September 29, 1971 she married the love of her life, Rickey Stevens. She worked many years as a hairdresser but most important was her job as wife and mother. Rita was a member of the Canaan Baptist Church in Cogar, OK when she was younger but is a member and attended the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Anadarko for the past 38 years with Rickey and her family. She took great pride in her yard but could most often be found shopping for shoes. Rita loved Angels. She was a devout Christian and always thought of others, sending many cards to let them know she was thinking of them. Her smile could lighten the darkest days and always brighten your spirit. Rita's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a loving, caring and nurturing Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother and Grandmother.

Her husband, Rickey Stevens, of the home in Gracemont, OK
2 sons and their wives: Ryan and Michelle Stevens, Gracemont, OK
Radley and Sarah Stevens, Anadarko, OK
3 grandchildren: Mercy and Justus Stevens, Gracemont, OK
Garland Faith Stevens, Anadarko, OK
Her mother: Belva Shook, Gracemont, OK
1 brother and his wife; Ricky Lee and Cathy Shook, Minco, OK
Her mother-in-law: Myrtle Stevens, Gracemont, OK
Her brother-in-law: Duane Stevens, Anadarko, OK
Numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by: Her father, Henry A. Shook, her brother, Gary Shook, her grandson, William Cole Garland and her father-in-law, Garland Stevens.
