While crossing, the sleigh gave a sudden lurch and Aarstad was thrown in front of the sleigh where he received fatal injuries. Dr. Macdonald was called from Valley City and arrangements were made to take the injured man to the Platou Hospital Friday morning by he died while on the way at 11 o'clock.
