Mrs. Jane Horchler, 68, died yesterday at the Cumberland Nursing and Convalescent Center. A native of Midland, she was a daughter of the late Daniel B. and Mary (Nelson) Layman, and was the widow of John Horchler. Surviving are five stepsons, Luther Horchler, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Brydon Horchler, Rocky Mt., N. C.; Randall Horchler, Brooksville, Fla.; Mark Horchler, Grantsville; and Dale Horchler, Hayden, Ala.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Fern Banks, Mrs. Mary Ann Barnett, Vinemont, Ala.; three brothers, Daniel Layman, Cumberland; Evan Layman, Frostburg, and Marvin Layman, Mentor, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Laura Brode, Frostburg; 24 stepgrandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. The body is at the Newman Funeral Home where friends will be received today and tomorrow. A service will be conducted at the Christ Lutheran Church, of which she was a member, Saturday at 11 a.m. Rev. David Fetter will officiate and interment will be in the New Germany Methodist Cemetery.
