Mrs. Barnes, 88, of Yukon, Oklahoma, and a longtime resident of Bethany, died Friday. She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Putnam City Church of Christ.

Mildred Pauline Barnes, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013, at the age of 88. She was born September 30, 1924, in Huntington Park, California to Everett and Fannie (Bales) Williams. She was a long-time resident of Bethany, Oklahoma and a charter member of the Putnam City Church of Christ in Warr Acres.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Barnes, her parents, and her brother Eugene "Gene" Everett Williams. Survivors include her three children, daughters Neysa Clark of Canyon, Texas and Janice Barnes of Tulsa and a son Mark Barnes and wife Jana of Yukon. She is also survived by six grandchildren and their families, Master Sargent Vance Clark and wife Kerin and their children, Katherine, Sarah, and Neysa Elaine of Ramstein AFB in Ramstein, Germany; Travis Clark of Edmond; Dallas Bell and husband Todd and their children, Erin, Abby and Max of Canyon, Texas; Derrick Clark and wife Naomi and their children Liberty and Barrett of Columbia, Missouri; Adam Barnes of Edmond; and Katie Barnes of Edmond.

Services were held at the Putnam City Church of Christ Tuesday, August 20, 2013, with burial at the Bethany Cemetery.
