East Prairie - Harold L. Bess, a native of Kennett, died Tuesday in St. Louis. He was 44 years old and lived in the St. Louis suburb of Oakville.
Mr. Bess was born Jan. 18, 1923, at Kennett, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elisha D. Bess.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mera Barker Bess; a son, Stanley Harold Bess; a daughter, Miss Beverly Lynn Bess; and a sister, Mrs. Russell Axley.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at the Shelby Funeral Home here and burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
